The Royal Tutor: Episode 12 - A Matter of Trust
The Royal Tutor: Episode 12 - A Matter of TrustIn the series finale of The Royal Tutor, James leaves Jane (Hannah Ware) on her own at St. Paul's and all the while, the scenario is only getting worse for her. While we've been searching for clues, is there anything that can make Jane feel better? From the very beginning, Jane began to see through James's act of kindness for a man who was after her. It became evident from her reaction to the way James seemed to use her friend Bethany for no reason at all and later, the way she didn't even recognize Bethany as her friend. So James began to slowly shift his actions from one friend to another, leaving Bethany out in the cold. But none of this really hit Jane until he didn't bother to call and notify her about what Bethany was doing. She became suspicious of his true intentions and why he didn't follow up on the message she left him. When he followed through with not calling her, her distrust got even more. After he was caught up in a scheme, James was feeling remorseful and even confessed to his deeds. However, the most important part of his confession was the fact that he promised to try and make things right. If it were just Jane, would she have simply forgiven him? The scene where James left her without a phone call was enough to drive Jane absolutely crazy. Since she was already hurt, Jane had every right to be enraged that he chose to leave her with no explanation at all.But even with all of this, in the last moments of the episode, Jane really did understand why James had chosen to leave her so far in the game. The one thing that really has her seeing red is when James made this comment, which makes him seem more like he'simply a bit too much of a creep.Even if you weren't affected by the whole affair, watching the episode finale is worth your time because we get a really good view of the fallout. I think the best part is seeing Jane, who in the beginning seemed so okay with everything, slowly become numb with all of the events that occurred.
